THANK YOU WALMART!!
On Friday November 8th, Jim Ahern, Manager of the Walmart on Cortez Rd in Bradenton presented Maryanne Staubach, Co-Chair of the St Joseph Food Pantry advisory committee with a check for $4,000. This grant is to enable the food pantry to purchase Thanksgiving food for their clients.
St Joseph Food Pantry, located at the corner of 33rd Ave W and 26th St W, has been in operation since 1977 with the mission “to provide food to any individual or family in Manatee County who is in need.” Currently, the food pantry is providing food for over 2,100 client families each month during the hours of 9 am until noon, Monday thru Friday, with evening hours on Wed from 5 to 7pm.
The pantry relies on financial donations from Walmart, Publix, and other generous local organizations and individuals as well as food from those grocers, Feeding Tampa Bay, and the public in order to provide nutritious filling food to families in need in Manatee County. “The hope is that we can help stop food insecurities most especially for children who need well balanced food to become successful, healthy adults,” says Ellen Staubach, Co-Chair of the food pantry.
If you want to help, please contact the St Joseph Food Pantry at firstname.lastname@example.org or send a tax deductible donation to the St Joseph Food Pantry, 2704 33rd Ave W, Bradenton FL 34205.Type your paragraph here.
